Warm-upKink

Written by
Luci BlackwellThe practice of beginning an impact play scene with lighter, gentler strikes before gradually increasing intensity. Warm-up increases blood flow to the area, raises the body's natural pain threshold, and gives both partners time to settle into the scene and calibrate to each other. Skipping warm-up is a common mistake among newer practitioners and makes heavier impact significantly more likely to cause unwanted bruising or injury.
