Luci Blackwell
Luci Blackwell came to writing through the community, not the other way around. Years spent as staff in several online BDSM communities built around education and safety, alongside nearly a decade in local kink communities, shaped the way she thinks about kink. Not as subject matter, but as lived knowledge worth passing on.
Her work sits at the intersection of psychology, ethics, and desire. She is interested in the questions that the community asks quietly: why does this work for me, what does it mean that it does, and how do I do it without hurting anyone, including myself. She writes for people who are new enough to still be figuring out the vocabulary, and for people who have been here long enough to know there is always more to learn.
She believes that good writing about kink is a form of community care. As someone who also writes fiction in the space, she knows how easily that fiction can model dynamics that look appealing on the page and cause real harm in practice. KinkLit exists, in part, as the corrective: the place where the fantasy gets an honest conversation next to it.
