Gas MaskKink

A gas mask is a sealed face covering used in kink contexts for bondage, sensory deprivation, and breath control play. Originally designed for protection against airborne hazards, gas masks are valued in BDSM for the profound isolation they create: they cut off most visual and auditory input simultaneously, reducing the wearer's world to the sound of their own breathing and the close, contained darkness of the mask itself. The breath element is what places gas masks firmly in the category of edge play. It is also worth establishing in advance whether the wearer has any respiratory conditions, anxiety around confined breathing, or claustrophobia, as the mask can intensify all of these significantly.
